In AdminPulse, you can define the language in which your invoices are created. This language is determined by a few settings you configure centrally.
In this article, you'll learn how to set the default invoice language and when the language from the relation file is used. This way, each customer receives their invoices in the correct language.
Setting the invoice language in AdminPulse
The language used for your invoices depends on two central settings. You can find them in AdminPulse under: Settings > General settings > Invoice PDF creation.
Setting the Default invoice language
The 'Default invoice language' determines the language your documents are created in when AdminPulse does not take the customer's language into account. You can choose between Dutch, French, or English.
Choosing between Default language and Relation language
Using the Invoice language setting, you can choose whether AdminPulse:
- Uses the 'Relation language': the invoice will be created in the language set in the relation file. AdminPulse will automatically apply the correct template and corresponding translations (if available).
- Uses the 'Default language': the invoice will always be created using the default language, regardless of the language specified in the customer’s relation file.
Example
If the language in the relation file is set to French, and you're using the setting Language from the relation, then the invoice will automatically be created in French, using the French template.
How to create a single invoice in a different language
Do you want to create just one invoice in a different language – for example, in French? You can temporarily change the 'Default invoice language' setting from Dutch to French. Once the invoice has been created, you can switch the setting back.
However, if you frequently work with multiple languages, it's better to use the 'Relation language' option under the 'Invoice language' setting. Then, for each relation file, set the correct language in the 'Identification' section.
Language settings: Important things to note
Invoice templates (Settings > Invoice templates) are language-specific. For each type of invoice, you can set a separate template per language. AdminPulse will automatically choose the correct template based on the invoice language. Make sure all the templates you need are available in the languages you use.
💡Tip: If you make a change to a Dutch invoice template, be sure to update the versions in other languages as well (if needed). This helps keep the layout and content of your invoices consistent across all languages.
