In the Linked relations section, you record links between relation files. This gives you a clear overview of who is involved in a relation, such as shareholders, directors and contacts.
Link relations
- Click the + icon at the bottom of the section.
- Select the appropriate link type, for example Contact, Shareholder or Director.
- Select an existing relation or create a new one.
- Depending on the link type, you can add additional information about the link.
- Optionally add a comment.
- Click Save.
The link between the relations is created. The linked relations appear in the Linked relations section in a table, grouped by link type.
💡 You can link the same relation more than once, each time with a different link type. The same person can, for example, be a Beneficiary, Contact, Representative, Director and Shareholder at the same time.
💡 You can also link multiple relations using the same link type, for example several Children, Shareholders or Directors within one relation file.
💡 In the Relations screen (Relation files > Relations), you can use the Link type and Link type (reverse) filters. The Export button lets you export the links between relations.
Which link types can you use?
The following link types are available:
- Accountant
- Auditor
- Bank
- Beneficiary
- Child
- Contact
- Control by other means
- Director
- Holding
- Insurer
- Lawyer
- Member (Non-profit)
- Notary
- Other
- Partner
- Representative
- Shareholder
- VAT Unit
Additional information per link type
Depending on the link type, you can complete additional fields or select checkboxes. This information relates specifically to the link between the two relations.
For example:
- Start and end date: for example, for mandates.
- Shares, voting rights and ownership rights: for shareholders, for example, to record the number of shares, the number of voting rights and the ownership right.
- Under option: a checkbox for the Shareholder link type. This indicates that the shares are under option. It can be combined with the selected ownership right, such as usufruct, bare ownership, full ownership or undivided ownership.
- VVPR bis: a checkbox that is only available for the Shareholder link type.
- Function or position: for Directors.
- Joint tax return: a checkbox for the Partner link type. This indicates that the person files a joint tax return with their partner.
- Comment: for a short explanation or additional context.
💡 The available fields depend on the selected link type.
View and edit linked relations
Linked relations are displayed by link type in a table. The table mainly serves as an overview: you cannot edit all information directly in the table.
👉 To add or change information about the linked relation itself, such as its name or contact details, open the relation file using the arrow icon.
To view or change information about the link between the two relations, such as shares, voting rights, ownership rights or VVPR bis, click the info icon. In the details window, you can edit the fields marked with a pencil icon.
The following action buttons are available for each linked relation:

Delete (bin icon): removes only the link between the two relations. The relation files themselves remain unchanged.

Open relation (arrow icon): opens the relation file of the linked relation. There, you can view and edit the details of that relation.

View and edit link information (info icon): opens the information about the link between the two relations. In the details window, you can edit the fields marked with a pencil icon.

Edit comment (pencil icon): adds a comment or changes an existing comment associated with the link.
💡 For Contacts, you can also use the star icon to mark a contact as the main contact.
